Suggested Selling Prices

These are only suggestions based on our region of the country and our experience at consignment sales over the years.

If you desire to sell everything and don’t particularly want to pick anything back up, we suggest you:

  • Use the guideline chart below. Generally, figure 1/3 off from the retail price of your item. Boutique items you may figure 1/4-1/2 off from the retail price. These are suggestions based on Excellent Used Condition.
  • Mark your tags as DISCOUNT when tagging items. This means your item will mark down on the “50% OFF EVENT” day
  • Tags marked as DONATE and not sold by end of sale, will be automatically donated.
  • If you are going to donate, it makes sense to also choose discount.

Recall Information

At Mom’s Marketplace your family’s safety is a top priority.  It is the responsibility of our consignors to make sure that all of their products offered for sale meet the required safety standards.

Please see the links on sidebar for helpful recall resources.

In February 2009, new requirements of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) took effect. Manufacturers, importers and retailers are expected to comply with the new Congressionally-mandated laws. Beginning February 10, 2009, children’s products cannot be sold if they contain more than 600 parts per million (ppm) total lead. Certain children’s products manufactured on or after February 10, 2009 cannot be sold if they contain more than 0.1% of certain specific phthalates or if they fail to meet new mandatory standards for toys. The new law requires that domestic manufacturers and importers certify that children’s products made after February 10 meet all the new safety standards and the lead ban. Sellers of used children’s products, such as thrift stores and consignment stores, are not required to certify that those products meet the new lead limits, phthalates standard or new toy standards.
